Esterbrook Pines is a landscape in oil of a lovely area above Douglas, WY. Esterbrook is a popular area for recreation, and this was an area logged to keep the forest healthy. The wonderful mountains surrounding Laramie peak make a backdrop for this setting. The artist's husband worked in this area during the past few years and took the reference photo which this was based on. One of my favorite pieces because it is an area I love to occasionally visit.
